Meet our Partner: Boerenbond

Boerenbond (BBP) is the largest professional organization representing farmers and horticulturists in Flanders and East Belgium.  They advocate for their members at regional, national, and European levels, promoting robust and sustainable farming practices. Boerenbond also supports both large- and small-scale operations across all subsectors and production methods, defending farmers’ interests through lobbying, policy dialogue, and representation.

Boerenbond provides training, workshops, and educational initiatives to strengthen professional development, while also offering networking opportunities. Their monthly magazine Boer & Tuinder covers economic, political, legal, and technical topics relevant to the sector. Members receive tailored advice on farm management, finance, and regulatory compliance. BBP invests in research and innovation, participates in projects that improve agricultural techniques and business models, and uses these insights to shape future-oriented advocacy and advisory services.

Within the project, Lukas Puffet, consultant in alternative crops and circularity, will be responsible for the field validation of INSOIL agri-products in cooperation with local farmers. He will also collaborate with relevant stakeholders and disseminate the results to a broad network of farmers and researchers.
