INSOIL aims to optimize, validate and deploy three families of in-soil biodegradable, bio-based solutions for crop production: mulch films, plant guards and controlled release fertilizers (CRFs). The goal is to promote biopolymer and additives production from sustainable feedstock, reduce plastic pollution, lower synthetic agrochemical use, and advance the regulation, social acceptance, and implementation of biodegradable bioplastic products.
