Last week, project partners Jelena Barbir, Jasmin Röseler and Patrycja Karwasiecka from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW) had the opportunity to speak about the INSOIL project with the local Bergedorfer Zeitung newspaper.
The article draws attention to challenges in modern agricultural practices, including persistent materials that remain in the soil, such as plastic coatings used in controlled-release fertilizers and mulch films. It also discusses how INSOIL is developing bio-based and biodegradable alternatives to support more sustainable approaches and help close material cycles, for example by reusing released CO₂.
